as promised, alice cooper in this installment. yes, my cousin nina got tickets and we went with her daughter karen and kari's son marius. i must say, vinnie put on a damn good show - good showmanship, a tight band, and lyrics that even i knew most of. he even has his daughter involved now, doing some of the stage antics, including quite a funny bloody paris hilton parody. alice says that mick is 6 years older than he is, so he's got to keep touring for at least 6 years after mick stops. long live mick, i guess. and so my indie street cred (such as it was) is now apparently indie street crud (thanks rich ...) i heard some talk that alice was supposed to be opening for the rolling stones at some point but i dunno if that happened/will happen.

thanks soooooooooo much to everybody who has sent messages on this day of days. i even got a couple of phone calls which was most appreciated :) weather was not soo nice this morning but it was acceptable enough to go shopping so i went into town and bought myself a very nice icy blue glass ring made by an oslo designer - with birthday money given to me by mummy before i left (thanks mummy!!). since then, i've been happily downloading music (if anyone cares: raconteurs, new pornographers, kinks, whatever strikes my fancy - how's my street crud now rich??)
it's about 6:30pm now and the sun has come out to play so we will be having a little bbq.
xoxoxo

Well - Happy Birthday to ya! Hope it was abfab. Saw Hall & Oates last nite at the Vancouver Centre for the Performing Arts. An outstanding show; with some outstanding red beforehand mmmmm! Fuzzy head today, Ah well the show must go on! That summer "cottage" looks soooo inviting; very picturesque. And your talent as a photog shines thru. Did I ever tell you that Alice asked me out when I was 17 - 18? I declined out of loyalty to my then boyfriend to become exhusband...go figure. I was working at the Pacific Palisades hotel at the time. Heady days! met Zero Mostel, Yvette Mimieux, Shelley Winters, et al. Basically the beginning of "HOllywood North". Well, that's all for now...Talk soon, Shannon
Your street cred is only marginally superior to that of you Hall & Oates watching chum. Can't help thinking that photo of Alice looks a bit like me on a Sunday morning. With hair. And less make up. COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
